OUR RESIDENTIAL PERFORMANCE COMPANY
Our Residential Performance Company is designed to offer a fully immersive company experience. Students will work with a variety of outstanding choreographers and industry professionals to create bold new works, producing an ambitious show that will support, nurture and showcase young emerging talent through the power of performance.
The Residential Performance Company experience includes a 10 day residential, regional performances at The Crescent Theatre, Birmingham and a West End Gala at Sadler’s Wells, London.
Rehearsals take place during our Residential Performance Company and will run for 10 days through August. This year we are delighted to return to Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham with their wonderful dance facilities.
Our Company is divided between:
The Junior Company – for dancers aged between 9 – 11 years on the 1st August 2019.
The Main Company – for dancers aged between 12 – 18 years on the 1st August 2019.
2019’s mixed bill consists of a diverse and innovative repertoire encouraging versatile and expressive performers. Included will be some exciting and challenging narrative based work with classical, neo classical and contemporary styles being showcased. The cast will have the unique opportunity to work and rehearse alongside fantastic professional guest choreographers with roles being cast across a broad age range.
A bespoke, classical narrative work will be created especially for the Junior Company.
Auditions for our 2019 Residential Performance Company will take place in February. See below. To audition you will need to register and complete our online Audition Registration Form. A fee of £26.50 will also be required to cover our logistical costs.

How do we create a level playing field? We don’t simply create opportunities for young aspiring dancers and choreographers. We also don’t want to deny opportunities to those who don’t have the financial means to pay. Which is why our dedicated trustees have set up a fund to help those deserving participants. Details on how to apply will be sent to all those who get through our preliminary auditions ahead of final auditions.
